I work for the Commonwealth of Learning in Vancouver for the past 6 years. My passion for ‘taking education to the people’ landed me this International job which takes me to all four Regions of the Commonwealth. I use every opportunity to introduce my partners in Asia, Africa, The Pacific and The Caribbean to the value of collaborative work and platforms; the sharing of knowledge, skills and resources. I managed a six country initiative during 2009-2012 where we developed 20 secondary school subjects licensed under CC-BY-SA. I had the opportunity to introduce MOODLE to this project and to date 12 of the 20 subjects are available on MOODLE . This project inspired me to learn more about quality online teaching and I am currently enrolled with the Open Polytechnic in New Zealand(OPNZ) doing the E-Learning Certificate which is delivered via MOODLE. I am looking forward to attend this conference.
